SVCA students were honored on Monday by a visit from Nanny McKaye. She flew in by Air Umbrella to help motivate Mrs. Wimp's 2/3 classroom to read 10 AR books in two weeks. Apparently, they are having a contest with the K/1 room to see who can read the most AR books in two weeks. Mrs. Farris and her K/1 students could very well be the next leading researchers on American Butterflies. She works extremely hard to show students the life cycle of the butterfly and has even constructed a Mobile Butterfly Garden so that she can attract butterflies while her permanent butterfly garden is being built. . . . read more
