Practical English is a course in which the work is designed to meet the individual needs of each student. English skills are made relevant in the areas of printed matter, technological advances, and oral communications, of which all are required to deal with everyday life situations.

Practical Math is a course in which math work is designed to meet the individual needs of each student. The student will use numerical and computational concepts and procedures in a variety of real life mathematical situations. As the student progress, he/she will study and demonstrate an understanding of the real number system and apply its properties to algebraic expressions.

Practical Science courses are designed to meet the individual needs of each student. Students in Practical Biology will develop an understanding of the basic concepts of life science such as learning about the cell, heredity, and organisms and their environments/behaviors.

Students in Practical Earth/Space/Physical Science will develop an understanding of the earth's systems, the organization of the universe, matter, motion, and machines.

Practical World History is a course in which the work is designed to meet the individual needs of each student. World History is made relevant to today's world by examining how life has changed from the beginning of time. These changes have been brought about through exploration, new inventions and discoveries, and political ideas that have lead to good governments seeking peace and freedom and bad governments seeking domination over others.

Study Skills is a class designed to meet the individual needs of each student and to help students learn the organizational and study skills necessary to be more productive learners. Students enrolled in the resource room for study skills are expected to bring necessary classroom assignments to class and come prepared to work.
