6th grade did it!!!! Their building made it past the first stage of the "SV Earthquake Machine".
We ran the machine 10 seconds for the first level. I believe everyone was surprised to see it stand after the beating it took. I even heard a couple 6th graders make the comment that there was "No way that thing is going to stand." They were giving each other high fives after the first round.It may take awhile to download but..... Click to view VIDEO!!!
The building wasn't quite as lucky the second go around. The second story didn't completely collapse but it was obvious that it wouldn't be safe to be in if it had been a real earthquake. It had completely separated from the rest of the building. The only thing holding it on was the support cables (or in layman terms....fishing string). I am extremely proud of all their hard work.... great job!
More videos to come.... 7th grade is next.
