JUNIORS:
The United States Military Academy Summer Leaders Seminar is being held at West Point June 7-13 and June 14-20. If you are interested, Mrs. Johnson has a brochure and you can also go to the website at http://admissions.usma.edu and fill out the application form online prior to March 31. You will need to be in top fifth of your class, pursuing a college-prep curriculum, strong PSAT scores and demonstrated leadership potential by participation, election/selection to office, and honors earned in organized athletic and extracurricular activities.
The University of Kansas is sponsoring Junior Days for you and your parents to explore the many opportunities that are available. The ten dates are Feb. 18, March 10, March 31, April 4, April 18, April 21, April 25, April 28, May 2 and May 5. You can register online at www.admissions.ku.edu/juniordays. They also have a Super Saturday program that you can read about at www.admissions.ku.edu/visit.
ATTENTION: HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS--YOU COULD WIN A FREE TRIP. If you are serviced by Twin Valley Electric and currently a high school junior you have a chance to win an all expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. or Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Applicants will be scored based on a short quiz and interview. Interviews will begin at 1:00 p.m. on March 7 at Twin Valley's office in Altamont. Complete and mail the application so that it reaches their office NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 20. See Mrs. Johnson for a VERY short application.
