Two Play in All-Star Game

On Saturday May 2, 2008 Deja Trotnic and Hayden Ward, Juniors at Oswego High School, were honored to participate in the First Annual South East Kansas All-Star Volleyball Game held in Chanute at Neosho County Community College.
These two girls were selected to play in the SEK All-Star game after being nominated by their high school coach, Shannon Wittmer. The nomination focused on statistics, honors, and character. Deja and Hayden were chosen along with 14 other Junior/Senior girls, from the Southeast Kansas area, to participate in the All-Star game. The other schools that were represented at the game were, Chanute, Cherryvale, Coffeyville, Colgan, Columbus, Girard, Pittsburg, and Uniontown.
The girls did a great job representing their school and community with this honor and once they were warmed up, they were able to pick up the game where they had left off in November. We look forward to seeing them in action once again when volleyball resumes in August.
