Members of the senior class played the part of elected officials while members of the city council observed and coached them through the mock session. Members of the community were Mayor Tom Bringle, Chief of Police George Elliott, and City Superintendent Kevin Frogley. The Students were able to see how the democratic process works first hand, along with recognizing the responsibilities of each citizen, and viewing how the federal, state, and local governments work hand in hand. In this mock council, the students had to vote on two city laws. One issue presented was a city wide curfew, and the second was a noise ban. OHS would like to thank these city workers for their time and coming to help with this meeting.
