Chores aren't so bad......
January 17, 2009
K/1 wanted to share some of the important lessons that we have learned. While helping with the daily chores that came along with Service Valley becoming a charter school we have learned….
• When the
temperature gets below 32 degrees water freezes.
• When it is freezing outside and the wind is blowing, chickens
don't even want to go outside.
• To watch where we walk and avoid the small piles on the
ground.
• That even when students complain about the cold they still
get excited about doing the daily chores!!!
Each of the reading groups in K/1 will be writing a book about the chores we have done. The books will be written and photographed by the students. The first book “Caring for the Goats” was written by Cienna, Kainen & Grace.
Keep checking back for the next book written in the series.
