A lot of hard work went into making this summer's Open House a success. Mr. Ward and his wife Sonja spent countless hours planting, watering, and weeding the gardens. Mrs. Farris put a lot of hard work in her Sunflower/Pumpkin Patch as well.
Too many times after so much hard work has been put into a project it seemingly goes unnoticed. This definitely was NOT the case this time around. Literally hundreds of people stopped by our recent Open House to have a look around and compliment all the hard work they have noticed as they have driven down Wallace Road.
It was a pleasant surprise to see people stop in and chat even when they had no direct ties to our school. I've thought a lot about those people since our Open House and I believe it has a lot to do with a time that has completely bypassed our youngest generations. Work ethic and responsibility have taken on new roles in everyday life. No longer is it a necessity for survival... it's a burden, a hindrance. This is why I believe they stopped. To see a school that's focusing on work ethic and responsibility gives them reason to believe all is not lost in a time of video games and entertainment.
If you missed the opportunity to visit our Open House please don't hesitate to contact me and set up a personal tour of our facilities. We are looking forward to another exciting year.
