Mouthful huh??? Try spelling those words in front of a room full of people with dictionaries!
That's exactly what Service Valley Charter Academy student Matthew Wegner did at the Labette County Spelling Bee this Thursday. He correctly spelled the words omniscient and circuitous to become the Champion of the Labette County Spelling Bee.
I've attached the pronunciation and definitions for both words below. Congratulations Matt for another outstanding performance!
GOOD LUCK AT STATE COMPETITION!!
circuitous |sərˈkyoōətəs|
adjective
(of a route or journey) longer than the most direct way : the canal followed a circuitous route | figurative a circuitous line of reasoning.
omniscient |ämˈni sh ənt|
adjective
knowing everything : the story is told by an omniscient narrator.
(Matt also won the Labette County Spelling Bee in the 4th grade)
