Neosho Heights Elementary and Service Valley Charter Academy grades K-5 have started the Power Panther Pals Health Education Program provided by the Kansas State Department of Education. During the course of this eight week program our students will be encouraged to eat a variety of foods; to eat more fruit, vegetables, and whole grains; to consume foods lower in fat; to eat more calcium rich foods; and to learn the importance of incorporating physical activity into their daily routine.
Throughout the eight week program the students will prepare and enjoy eating a healthy snack highlighting the food group they are learning about. The feedback from the students as well as many parents has been great! We ask parents to be on the lookout for the newsletters that will be sent home periodically during the eight week lessons. We hope you spend some time with your children enjoying the fun filled family activities as well as cooking one or more of the easy healthy recipes.
Remember the Power Panther Pals motto
EAT SMART. PLAY HARD.
