OJSHS is putting a spotlight on responsibility! We are taking ACTION, not just talking about the qualities of good character and compassion. It is time to spotlight the responsible actions of Abby Long. Abby is currently a senior, and she is involved in volleyball, basketball, track, NHS, scholars’ bowl, science club, and Greenbush Student Leadership Academy. She is class president and a member of her church youth group. Teachers report that Abby has taken on a leadership role on the volleyball team and in the school. She is constantly helping the younger girls and even the older girls make sure they have everything they need. She does this with a positive attitude and a caring nature. Our school is better because she is leading not only on the volleyball court but also in the halls and classroom. Abby says, “Responsibility means completing work on time, being prepared for every class and event, and always being on time to class and practices.” Abby plans to attend Labette Community College and receive a degree in radiography and then sonography. Thank you, Abby for spotlighting responsibility!
