Our new spotlight on responsibility highlights Jaylen Marshall. Jaylen is an 8th grade student at OJSHS. She is involved in quiz bowl, volleyball, basketball, track, and 4-H.
When asked how she defines responsibility, she states, “Responsibility to me means that you can keep track of your own things and have things that you can do that you don’t have to be asked or told to do.” Her teachers report, “Jaylen always comes to class prepared, and she is always willing to help others with their work. She is selfless in that way. She takes responsibility for herself and her work.”
Jaylen says she likes our school because of all of the nice people and the helpful teachers. After high school Jaylen plans to attend a two year agriculture college and get a degree to be a veterinary technician. Then she would like to transfer to K-State University and major in veterinary medicine.
Jaylen, we are proud of your demonstration of responsibility! Keep up the good work.
