The State Board of Education and the Kansas State Department of Education awarded USD 504 three honors for 2020. USD 504 Oswego/Service Valley received a Kansas Can Bronze Star Award for its graduation rate and two Kansas Copper Star awards, one for post-secondary effectiveness and another for preparing students for post-secondary success. The Kansans Can Star Recognition Program recognizes districts' success in achieving the Kansas Education Systems Accreditation (KESA) standards.
