We would like invite any and all middle school parents to the next POMS (Parents Of Middle Schoolers) Meeting on Tuesday, October 22nd at 6:00 p.m. in the OJSHS Library.
POMS is responsible for the annual 8th grade trip to Silver Dollar City. They also sponsor the fall and spring JH dances. Operating the concession stands during track season help fund these programs.
If you are unable to attend this month's meeting, check out the POMS Facebook group for events and meeting information.

The OJSHS Band was to participate in the Maple Leaf Parade in Carthage, MO on Saturday, October 19 - but the parade was capped at 50 bands. As a result, the band will now participate in the Pittsburg State Homecoming Parade held on that same day in Pittsburg.

We need to clarify information regarding next Thursday's HS volleyball match after conflicting information was distributed on our part.
The triangular with Baxter Springs and Colgan will be held at Baxter Springs AND the triangular will include both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams. Oswego will play the 5:00 and 6:00 matches.

Cross Country at Pleasanton has been cancelled for this afternooon.

JV Football has been cancelled for this evening. JH Football is still on starting at 5:00pm.

Congratulations to Connor Minor who won the OJSHS spelling bee last Friday! We are so proud of him, and the other contestants who went out for it. Great job!

What a great effort this evening by our Indians. JH Volleyball and Football both came up a little short this evening, but a great effort by all. Our HS JV Volleyball team won in straight sets tonight against Columbus. Great Work Indians, keep on battling.

Changes to JH and JV Volleyball today:
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we are going to move JH and HS JV VB to one court today. JH B-Team will start at 4:00, followed by the A-team. HS JV will then play at the conclusion of the JH. All matches will be in the JH Gym. Thanks
