Reminder, next week is the KSHSAA Summer Moratorium. Check out the KSHSAA policy release below.

Attention: Oswego Junior High and High School football team.
I would like to invite you to Indian Team Football Camp. The camp will be held on July 14, 15, 17, and 18 at the football practice field (behind the high school). There will be one camp for both JH and HS teams from 6:00-8:00 p.m. This is a non contact camp. Players need cleats as the only equipment. There will be a $22 camp fee to be paid upon entrance. Each camper will receive a T-shirt during the school year. Make checks payable to Matt Fowler.
I also would like to remind all parents and athletes that each student who is participating in athletics this year for Oswego Middle/High School must have a physical and concussion form submitted to the High School office before official practices begin in August. (This does not apply to camp.) The forms needed can be found on the school’s website.
For any questions please contact me at (620) 474-6965.

State Bound!
A huge shoutout to Mia and Alex for qualifying for the State Championships!
Mia has faced adversity all season, battling through injuries and struggling to hit her stride. With the two fastest girls in the region scratching from the 400m, the pressure was on — and she delivered in the clutch, running her fastest time of the season by 3 seconds to place 3rd and punch her ticket to state! Mia also ran a PR in the 200m by one tenth of second and finished 8th
Alex came through with a standout performance in the javelin, launching a throw of 150’6” to secure 2nd place and his spot at state as well. He just came short in qualifying with discus with a PR of 115'9" which landed him 4th.
Other athletes that competed at regionals were, McKenna and she threw a PR in discus with 90'6" which was good enough for 5th. Wendell threw a PR in shot put with a throw of 36'6" which landed him 7th. Owen Jackson secured 7th in long jump with a PR of 18'1". Brenden completed well in the 200 and 400 and Dominic threw in the shot put.
We’re so proud of all the Indians and their perseverance, heart, and grit. Let’s go represent at state!

HS Boys Summer Basketball meeting this Thursday at 6:30pm at the Assembly of God. This is for players and parents. We will talk about the summer schedule for team camps and summer leagues.

Summer Cross Country 2025
We will meet on Wednesday every week to do some training and team building activities. We will always meet in the park unless I let you know different. We will start the Wednesday after memorial weekend. The date will be May 28. We will meet for an hour between 9:00 and 10:00 in the morning. We will just plan on meeting one day per week for now. If schedules allow, we might start meeting two days a week. No matter how many days we meet, you are still encouraged to run on your own on those days we don’t meet. Below are some websites that you can go and check out some summer camp opportunities. Check them out if you are interested in going to a camp. Participation in summer activities and camps is not mandatory but is encouraged.
Memorial day is on May 26. We have been offered the opportunity to help put up the flags at the cemetery and get paid for doing so. I have accepted the offer. Let me know if you will be able to help put up flags on May 26. Some of the money will go to the cross country team to help pay for our trip to Rim Rock this year. In order to receive the money we will need cross country runners to help. If we don’t have runners help then we won’t receive the money. We will need to be there ready to put up flags at 6:30 am and take them down at 5:00 pm. We need to be there for both sessions.
