The high school volleyball and football teams will once again hold scrimmages prior to their first scheduled contests this year; however, there will be a completely new and different look. The volleyball teams (V/JV) will scrimmage against Oswego alumni players on Thursday, August 29th. These scrimmages will begin at 6:00 in the high school gym. The football teams will be hosting a first in school history - a football jamboree with Shawnee-Maranatha and St. Paul attending. The activities association approved jamboree formats for Kansas football teams beginning this year. The date for this year's jamboree is Friday, August 30th. Oswego will conduct offensive and defensive plays against Maranatha beginning at 7:00. Following a short break, Maranatha and St. Paul will run offensive and defensive plays. The final session of the jamboree will feature Oswego against St. Paul. Introductions of the Oswego team and coaches will take place prior to our session with St. Paul. A concession stand will be operating throughout the evening.

This year's All-Sports Parent Meeting will be held on Thursday, August 8th at 6:00 pm. The meeting is for parents whose child plans on participating in any sport throughout the school year. At the end of the general meeting, breakout sessions will be conducted for the fall sports both at the High School and Junior High levels. The general session will focus on the 5 tenants of the new foundational base expectations of Oswego athletic and activity participants. The 5 tenants of the base expectations revolve around loyalty, support, academics, attendance and respect. It is the goal of the school to provide the coaches, participants and families with a base foundation from which to grow successful young men and women. Finally, information regarding the new district website and phone app will be shared. The free app can be found by searching for "Apptegy Oswego". We are excited about this new source of information available to our school and community.
