
Tonight, Pleasanton hosted a Scholars Bowl tournament where Oswego High School students Miles Dieker, Coleman Murphy, Rayden Myers, Dominic Smith, Hailey Edings, and Chance Mills took 1st place. This was the first tournament of the season, and the team started the season strong. Way to go Indians!

Tonight is your last chance to see The Wizard of Oz at OJSHS. Doors open at 6:30. The show starts at 7:00. $3.00 entry fee. Concessions are available.


Student Council is hosting a Toy Drive with all toys being donated to the local Angel Tree organization. Boxes will be in the Commons Area for each grade, and the grade with the most items will win an ice cream and cookie party. The Angel Tree organization has asked for stocking stuffers, new, unwrapped toys, wrapping paper, and gift/name tags. Let's show our Indian spirit and donate to help those in our community! The StuCo Toy Drive will begin Wednesday, November 1st, and end early on Friday, November 17th.

Spirit Week starts tomorrow with Movie Duo Tuesday! Pictures and judging will be at 7: 40 a.m. in the Commons area. Show your school spirit by dressing up this week!

Tomahawk Coffee Shop opens tomorrow, September 6th. Student Council is excited to serve the Indian nation students and staff with iced coffee, hot coffee, hot tea, or hot chocolate. The Tomahawk Coffee Shop will start serving at 7: 15 am on Wednesday.


Heat protocols remain in place this week for outdoor sports as many practices have moved indoors. The varsity football jamboree on Friday will be played as scheduled but with a 7:30 start time.

The 2022-2023 OJSHS Yearbook will be distributed Friday, August 25th, during Seminar. Mass Media has a few extra yearbooks. If you didn't order last year and want a yearbook, contact Angie Norris at anorris@usd504.org.

Heat index protocols are in place this week for outdoor practices. The JH will practice after school but may be indoors due to protocol. The activity bus will run as scheduled. HS football will practice from 6:00-7:00 am on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will continue to update.

Greetings 504 Nation! Enrollment for the upcoming 2023-24 school year is tomorrow at each attendance center. In order to allow for work schedules , enrollment times run from 7 am.-6:30 pm. Vaccinations and sports physicals will be provided at the high school campus!

There will be a JH and HS Football Parent Meeting at 6:30pm at OJSHS on Thursday, August 3rd. The meeting will be held in the Library. A reminder that JH Football includes 7th and 8th grades only.

2024 Seniors and 2024 Senior Parents: Mass Media will need five baby pictures and two head-and-shoulder, vertical senior pictures. Baby pictures will be due by Friday, December 15th, 2023, and senior pictures will be due by Friday, January 26th, 2024. Summer is a great time to get those senior pictures scheduled and/or taken! Labette Health Oswego Clinic will give FREE sports physicals on July 11 & 12 from 10 am to 2 pm.

Attention: Oswego Junior High and High School football team.
I would like to invite you to Indian Team Football Camp. The camp will be held on July 10, 11, 13, and 14 at the football practice field (behind the high school). The high school camp will run from 5:00-7:00 pm and the junior high camp will run from 7:00-8:30pm. This is a non contact camp. Players need cleats as the only equipment. There will be a $22 camp fee to be paid upon entrance. Each camper will receive a T-shirt during the school year. Make checks payable to Matt Fowler.
I also would like to remind all parents and athletes that each student who is participating in athletics this year for Oswego Middle/High School must have a physical and concussion form submitted to the High School office before official practices begin in August. (This does not apply to camp.) The forms needed can be found on the school’s website.
